Story
Hi, it's Stacy here!!
I'm choosing to fundraise for Arthritis Australia to make a difference to ALL those who suffer daily from Arthritis and to RAISE AWARENESS of the many different forms of Arthritis conditions, many of which are INVISIBLE to everyone around us. I AM a sufferer of an Arthritis condition and have only recently had a diagnosis but have endured some of the symptoms for years. On FEBRUARY 16TH 2024, I will be embarking on a huge challenge to reach the SUMMIT of KILIMANJARO in Tanzania, East Africa. I have also chosen this mental and physical challenge to celebrate my 50TH BIRTHDAY and on 22ND FEB 2024 I will be ONE DAY AWAY from the SUMMIT of AFRICAS HIGHEST MOUNTAIN, reaching heights of just under 6000m above sea level!! So it's a BIG DEAL for me living with Arthritis and not knowing if my body will hold up, the pain will be unbearable or my mind will be strong and get me through. I WILL NOT GIVE UP and I WILL NOT LET THIS CONDITION STOP ME FROM LIVING LIFE TO THE FULL.
SO............for ALL THOSE WHO struggle out there in the world, I'm doing this for YOU.

Arthritis Australia is the peak arthritis organisation in Australia. It is supported by affiliate offices in ACT, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia. Arthritis Australia provides:
- provides support and information to people with arthritis as well as their families and friends
- promotes awareness of the challenges facing people with arthritis across the community, and to leaders in business, industry, and government
- funds research into potential causes and possible cures as well as better ways to live with arthritis, and
- aims to keep health professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and community nurses informed
