Story
Hi there!
This June I'm going to Tread the Red - yes I'm trekking the Larapinta Trail in Central Australia in order to raise funds & awareness for a very worthy charity that is close to my heart- The Evident Foundation.
The Foundation raises money to fund research into oral health in real life clinical scenarios- some past projects have included early identification of oral cancer, early diabetes identification and the impacts of stress and burnout amongst Australian dental and medical practitioners. Ongoing research has shown us more & more the links between oral health and general systemic disease including cardiac issues, gut health and diabetes.
Oral Health research is not as glamorous as other causes but dental disease is one of the biggest burdens on health systems throughout the world.

The eviDent Foundation is the charitable arm of the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB). eviDent is dedicated to raising funds for a range of vital research projects and to promote oral health care and hygiene with the aim of controlling and preventing oral disease, such as cancer and gum disease.
