eviDent Foundation Great Ocean Road Walk 2018

eviDent Foundation has a team of 18 amazing people giving up their long weekend between 9th and 12th March 2018 to walk 71km along the Great Ocean Road from Apollo Bay to Ryan’s Den to raise money for important dental and oral health research.

Each person taking part is raising money for the eviDent Foundation through their own GoFundraise page. However, this is a team page, which means that you can support the Team as a whole, towards a net income Team Target of $50k.

eviDent is a charity aiming to improve the oral and dental health of Australians through clinical research, with a range of exciting research projects. One research project is assessing a simple and cheap test that can diagnose early oral cancer, the 8th most common cancer in the world which kills 50% of those who acquire it. Other areas of research include preventative dental interventions for children with heart disease, an innovative approach for identifying type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes in the dental clinic and children most vulnerable to dental disease.
