Hiking the AAWT for Night Parrots and Bush Regeneration
Hiking the AAWT for Night Parrots and Bush Regeneration
Story
Hi there!
I’m solo hiking the entire length of the 700km Australian Alps Walking Track to raise money for Bush Heritage Australia, an organisation that works towards bush regeneration and species conservation all over Australia.
One part of the work bush heritage is doing which I find particularly exciting is their work on the Pullen Pullen reserve in an effort to save the critically endangered and elusive night parrot from extinction. The population in this 56,000 hectare area is estimated to be 10-20 night parrots.

As I embark on this hike through the months of October and November, I would appreciate any contribution to the cause, big or small.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to Bush Heritage Australia.
Thanks so much for your support!
Bush Heritage Australia
Protecting Australia's plants, animals and landscapes.
Bush Heritage is a national conservation charity which protects Australia's native wildlife through a simple formula - we buy or acquire land of outstanding conservation value, and then care for it. Our reserves are managed in a similar way to national parks; the land is legally protected, with the intention of safeguarding it forever.
Today, over 34% of all Australia's mammals, as well as 55% of its birds - including many rare and threatened species - are protected on Bush Heritage's reserves and partnership properties, which safeguard millions of hectares of ecologically important land nationwide.
