Nick's Care for an Egg
Nick's Care for an Egg
Story
Hi Everybody,
As some of you will know I have been off the drink since my 30th birthday on the 23rd of September and propose to continue until the end of October. As all of you will know such an endeavour has not been easy for me however I have remained steadfast in commitment.
Whilst the Health benefits of abstence remain my own I would like to you to help me support the eggtober Foundation in caring for and egg for a very worthy, my egg!
Gynaecological Cancers have a low public profile compared to other types of cancers and lag far behind for public awareness, prevention/control, public funding and private donation. Yet Gynaecological Cancers have very grim statistics. The five-year survival rate experienced by females diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1999-2003 in NSW was 42% compared with 88% for female breast cancer. Known as the silent killer most ovarian cancers are not detected until an advanced stage, when prognosis is poor, hence the low survival rate.
My 30th Birthday is a big milestone so instead of presents please could I ask you to support the girls in the most worthiest of causes by making a small donation to the eggtober foundation.
Any money raised I will match dollar for dollar from Pi Capital Partners… send me broke people :)
Thanks in advance for all your support
Best,
Nick
The Eggtober Foundation Ltd
The Eggtober Foundation raises awareness and funds for gynaecological cancer units, professional, patient and community education and research. Gynaecological cancers have very grim statistics and are known as silent killers as most are not detected until at an advanced stage when the prognosis is poor. One woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer. The 5 year survival rate is only 42%. The Eggtober Foundation aspires to have one gynaecological care nurse for every gynaecological cancer sufferer. Through our website, the mass media, political advocacy and presentations to community groups we promote the cause of women with gynaecological cancers. Through its endeavours The Eggtober Foundation aims to offer women better health outcomes, improved survival rates and ultimately through research find a cure.
