Hi there!
We are making a difference and trekking up to the Everest Base Camp for Ovarian Cancer Australia. We would appreciate any contribution, big or small.
Both Dave and Tim have lost someone very close to them due to this silent killer, and if the least we can do is to raise some awareness and get people talking about it then we are happy! Ovarian Cancer Australia is an incredibly supportive charity to sufferers of the disease and to their families.
We will be donning the teal t shirts and caps for Ovarian Cancer Australia and be keeping a photo journal of our progress. Watch this space for more details.

Ovarian Cancer: The Facts
- In Australia the overall five-year survival rate for women diagnosed with ovarian cancer is 49%.
- In comparison, the overall five-year survival rate for women diagnosed with breast cancer is 92%
- Each year, over 1,800 Australian women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and around 1,000 women will die from the disease
- 70% of patients diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer will have a recurrence within 3 years
- There is no early detection test for ovarian cancer
- The disease can affect females of all ages
