eviDent Foundation Great Ocean Walk
Story
In March 2018 I will be walking 71kms in 4 days, all to raise vital funds for the eviDent Foundation.
Last time I agreed to do this, it involved rain, hail, thunder, lightning, snow, river crossings, leeches, snakes and the loss of a toenail...and yet here I am again! Why? A number of reasons, including:
- my toenail has grown back
- I have all of the gear, so I have to use it again
- there's the promise of sunshine; but mainly
- I will be helping to raise vital funds to support eviDent research
• improve access to oral health care for children with cardiac conditions;
• improve our ability to detect oral cancer in the early stages, as well as identify patients at high risk;
• improve the clinical outcomes of patients receiving implant treatment from private dental practitioners with access to a novel online data sharing platform;
• increase the understanding and delivery of coordinated care for patients; and
• so much more!.

The eviDent Foundation is the charitable arm of the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB). eviDent is dedicated to raising funds for a range of vital research projects and to promote oral health care and hygiene with the aim of controlling and preventing oral disease, such as cancer and gum disease.
