Reach the Beach for Smiles and Teeth

Oral disease is the most prevalent non-communicable disease globally. It’s impacts significant and the amount of funding currently assigned to oral health care is disproportionate to the oral disease burden. With links between poor oral health and general health, prioritising good oral health will have health cost savings in other parts of the system.

The eviDent Foundation connects research with clinical practice. In doing so, eviDent plays a vital role in generating new knowledge, new treatments, and research-backed evidence to compel policymakers to create health frameworks that support access for all Australians to the very best oral health care possible.

With more, eviDent can do more. Your donation could be the key to the outcomes eviDent achieves in the future. That’s why, in March 2023, I’ll be back on the track to Reach the Beach for Smiles and Teeth. A gift of any amount would mean the world to me, and would help the eviDent Foundation to:
•    create safer and more appropriate antibiotic prescribing for dental patients
•    provide a better understanding the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission in the dental setting to better inform public policy decisions that impact on oral health
•    explore the effectiveness of pre-treatment music interventions in the management of dental anxiety in general dental practice
•    normalise oral health care as part of alcohol and other drugs recovery at First Step, an addiction treatment centre in St Kilda; and so much more!
