Story
Hi my name is Lucy, and I am walking from Frankston to Mordialloc to raise money for Fusion. Fusion is an independent, non-profit organisation that provides a home for the homeless youth in our community.
To support Fusion in their mission to assist homeless youth, your donations big or small, will directly fund the maintenance of their establishment, providing essential support to help youth get back on their feet studying, working and living life to it's fullest.
McClelland College recently organised a field trip for the year 11 VM students to visit Fusion's establishment in Mount Martha. The purpose of the visit was to educate us about the challenges faced by the homeless youth in our community. During the eye-opening visit, we had the opportunity to hear some accounts of the struggles and hardships experienced by homeless teenagers. It was emphasised that not all homelessness stems from criminal activity. Many of the stories shared revolved around teenagers enduring domestic, physical, sexual and emotional abuse, leading them to flee their homes in search of safety.
Fusion acknowledges the inequities woven into the narratives of these young individuals and extends empathy towards them by providing for them. Why not help them provide for the homeless youth by donating a buck or two? It'll make everyone feel good!

FUSION COMMUNITY CARE (Fusion Australia Ltd)
BETTER FUTURE
We are, at our heart, a group of passionate people who care about seeing real change in the world.
Fusion Australia is a not-for-profit Christian Youth and Community organisation who have a deep and ongoing commitment to developing resilience in individual lives. But we also believe that young lives need a strong community around them, so we work alongside passionate people and networks from all over Australia in a variety of national and locally focussed projects.
Since Fusion first started 60 years ago, we have worked tirelessly to bring young people and their communities together with hope, determination and permission to make change.
