Story

Hi,

In Australia today there are over 400,000 people living with Dementia and that number will rise to 1 million by 2050. Nearly two years ago my sister Sal, Lawsons Aunty, became one of these people.  Sal lived and continues to live her life, strongly, bravely and humorously.  She seemed to take on challenges that confronted her with such ease and confidence.  For the month of May Lawson hopes to raise much needed funds by taking on his own challenge..... Hair today, gone tomorrow! At the end of May he will shave off his much loved hair. Please help Lawson, to help Dementia Australia put an end to this incredibly sad disease.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.

Thanks so much for your support!

Dementia Australia

Dementia Australia is a unified, national peak body for people, of all ages, living with all forms of dementia, and their families and carers. We provide advocacy, support services, education and information, as well as fundraise and facilitate research into dementia.

We aim to give people living with Dementia the respect they deserve and the support they need. We advocate to government and industry on behalf of people living with dementia, their carers and families and work hard to raise community awareness and understanding of dementia. Please visit www.dementia.org.au to access a wide range of resources and how to contact our National Dementia Helpline.

Community support through donations and sponsorship, as well as bequests, is vital to the continuation and growth of our work.
