Walking the Camino in Pink

Hi there!

I'm making a difference and walking the Camino de Santiago and raising money for Think Pink a charity that's close to my heart. Why I love Think Pink is because every cent you give goes to the people in need; in programs, accomodation for country women undergoing treatment and essentials such as wigs and therapeutic massages. I have been to the centre in St Kilda Road and was blown away with what they can do on so little money.

There are many stories about the litterally thousands of women Think Pink helps; but I was particularly moved by the story of Voula who is a single mother and carer for her own mother who doesn't speak English. Voula is very concerned about keeping her children safe when she is gone, so Think Pink has organised: financial advice, legal advice, carers respite and even a family holiday so that when she is gone her chidren have some happy memories.  At Christmas time Think Pink organised for her children to have a trip to the movies and a some vouchers to buy clothes and nice food for her last Chritsmas - yes she is going downhill very rapidly with a particulary aggressive form of Breast Cancer and has weeks not months to live. In fact she may not even be alive when I finish my amazing journey in Spain. So with this in mind I would love for you to give as much or as little as you can afford as we want to help her children and make her last days as comfortable as possible.
