Story

🏃‍♂️ My Marathon for Autism 💙

My son is autistic, and every day he teaches me more about strength, resilience, and seeing the world in a different way. His journey has inspired me to take on one of the biggest challenges of my life and that's a completing a Triathlon.

Triathlon is 750m Swim, followed by 26km bike and then 5k run, i will be aiming to complete in the under 1 hour 30 minutes (the average time for a triathlon to be completed)

This Triathlon isn’t just about miles or medals. It’s about raising awareness, support, and understanding for autism. Families like mine face both challenges and incredible joys, and I want to use this opportunity to shine a light on the importance of acceptance and resources that can truly make a difference.

By donating to this fundraiser, you’ll be helping provide vital support for autistic children and their families and most importantly early intervention. Early intervention is life-changing, when children with autism receive therapies in the first years of life, up to 90% make significant gains in communication, social skills, and independence — setting the foundation for their future potential.

Training will not be easy — Currently I can barely run 5 minutes without feeling like I'm having a heart attack, I never got my swim badges in school, and i only go swimming to play with the kids and i haven't owned a bike in the last 20 years But whenever it gets tough, I think of my son and the determination he shows every single day. That gives me the strength to keep going.

I’ll be sharing my training journey along the way on strava and on here, so you can follow my progress right up to Triathlon day in March 2026.

Together, we can run toward a more inclusive and supportive future for people with autism.

Please support me by donating, sharing this page, or simply cheering me on. Every step I take is for my son — and for all the amazing individuals on the autism spectrum.

Thank you for being part of this journey. 💙
