Story
Hi there,
we at Emperor Fitness are trying to raise much needed funding for the best animal protection and welfare charity in Australia - The Animal Welfare League.
The AWL rescue, treat and house animals in need. They respond to animal cruelty cases to save animals from bad situations as well as house and tend to animals that have been abandoned. The AWL is also a "no-kill" shelter, meaning they don't put the animals down after a certain period like other places do.
Robbie and I will be embarking on a grueling endeavour on September 1st help raise funds. We will be doing a lap (4km) of Sydney's Centennial Park in the most grueling way possible:
1 km of weighted walking lunges (30kg)
1km of Farmers Carries (80kg)
1km of Bear Crawling
1km of Burpees
In the weeks leading up we will raising as much money as possible for the Animal Welfare League.

Animal Welfare League NSW
Animal Welfare League NSW is a registered charity that has been operating for over 60 years. We provide expert care to surrendered, neglected and abandoned companion animal across NSW. Our vision is that all companion animals in NSW have a safe and loving home. We strive for this through our work in rehoming, education and discount desexing programs. We also send out our inspectors who are authorised to investigate allegations of animal cruelty. As part of our Getting to Zero philosophy (G2Z) we are also committed to achieving zero euthanasia of healthy and treatable cats and dogs. Our charity is funded by generous animal-lovers and kind volunteers help keep our doors open. There are many ways people can get involved with us including by donating, fundraising or volunteering. Our shelter and vet clinic is open 7 days a week.
