July 2016 Kokoda Track

Story

In July I'll be crossing the Kokoda Track- a gruelling 96kms through the mud and over the hills. To support local families and children, I will be fundraising for the Kokoda Track Foundation (KTF).

KTF has been working in Papua New Guinea for over 12 years. They are an independent Australian aid organization providing sustainable solutions in education, health, livelihoods and leadership in PNG. They work in partnerships with communities, identify their needs and strengths, and together implement projects which achieve long-term change.

To date, they have constructed ten schools, and currently support forty-five schools in remote areas. They have constructed and are operating a high-quality Teacher and Community Health Worker Training College and support health clinics in seven remote areas. They run a scholarship program that identifies and fosters the next generation of young leaders in PNG, and assisted in establishing microbusinesses for the supply of solar mobile lights and seed gardens.

Please support me and generously donate towards KTF.
