Story
Hello all, I am currently running in a number of events and challenges to raise funds for NSW Police Legacy.
Visually Impaired Triathlete Nathan Johnston and I just completed the Australian Ironman Triathlon. The event was a 3.8klm swim, 182 klm bike ride and a 42.2 marathon. Also competing in the Police Legacy Team is Michael Lough, Nathan Shoemark and Lloyd Williams.
Our next event is the City to Surf where Blind athlete Nathan Johnston and I will run the 14.2 klms together.
The final event and the most challenging will be on Sept 8 to 13 and will coincide with the Wall to Wall motor cycle ride, where I'll be running running from the NSW Police Wall of Remembrance in The Domain in Sydney to the National Wall of Remembrance in Canberra, a distance of about 300 klms. I will run in trail bike kit making the challenge extremely difficult. Each day over the six day run I will cover 50 kilometres per day and conclude at 4pm on Saturday the 13 September at the National Wall of Remembrance at the same time motor cycle riders will arrive from all over Australia representing Police from each state.
The run will raise funds and awareness of NSW Police Legacy to support Police Officers families who need assistance after the loss of their Police Officer family members and assists in a number of program's for schooling, health and special needs.
We are aiming to raise money for the NSW Police Legacy charity and we would welcome any contribution, great or small, that you could make! NSW Police Legacy assists the families of fallen and injured NSW Police Officers who have made the ultimate sacfirices to keep us all safe. Many of these families have no finacial support and are placed in very difficult situations caused by their loss. Lets help say thank you to the men and women who give so much to keep us all safe.

The Trustee For NSW Police Legacy
NSW Police Legacy is the NSW Police Force Charity. Established in 1987 it was initially founded to support the bereaved families following the loss of their loved one. Now, our support extends to include police officers and their families experiencing challenging times in their lives. Our police family has grown to include not only families suffering from loss and grief, but those experiencing misfortune that require extra support. Our committment is to build on the care and support of serving and retired police officers and their families during times of tragedy and need with financial assistance, emotional support and networking opportunities so they are never forgotten. http://www.policelegacynsw.org.au/
