Cycle for Cancer
Story
Firstly, we would like to introduce the cycling team: Ryan Pousson, Desmond Chen, Senai Leniston-Kahsai, Leonor Gausachs and Brandon Ziegenfuss. We are students who have decided to cycle 250km in a charity cycle we have organized ourselves! 100% of all funds raised will go directly to the McGrath Foundation. None of us will receive any form of monetary benifits from this campaign.
Our aim is not only to raise money for this great foundation, but also to spread awareness of this particularly type of cancer. In 2012 it is estimated that 14,610 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, making it the most common cancer affecting women. Australian women have a 1 in 9 lifetime risk of developing breast cancer. This is an alarming statistik.
The cycle is taking place on the 23rd and 24th of June 2012! Although our cycle is very soon, we are extending our fundraising campaign until the end of August. Please help us raise awareness, by distributing this URL (http://www.gofundraise.com.au/page/cycleforcancer).
We strongly believe that breast cancer can be cured and minimized through spreading awareness. Our funds will hopefully make a big difference to the foundation, and help breast cancer nurses care for those who suffer from breast cancer.
Fundraising will stop at the end of August, so help us distribute our campaign!!!

The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Cancer Care Nurses and deliver world leading cancer nursing services to support people and their families through cancer. McGrath Cancer Care Nurses provide clinical, psychosocial and emotional support. With your help we can ensure no one goes through cancer without the care of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse.
