The Big Borg Cure

Well my friends and soon to be friends and big money donators!!!

The time is finally upon us - time for THE BIG BORG CURE FUNDRAISER! I will be shaving my head on the 30th of June 2013.  For those of you who know me, you know how long my hair is and how long I have had long hair for, well I couldn’t think of a more appropriate sacrifice then to shave it all off in the hopes of raising money for a cure for Breast Cancer.

Many of you know how Breast Cancer has become a big issue in those around us and within my own friends and family circle.  This shave is in honor of the very, very brave women in my life who have battled, are battling and whom this terrible disease will affect.

I have been playing with the idea of doing a cancer shave for a long time, but when my Aunty Mary was diagnosed not long ago I became more and more determined to do this – though she is not the only one that has been touched by Cancer, her diagnosis was the straw that broke the camels back.  So it is in honor of her, and others, that I commit to this!

Each and every one of us have had cancer touch our lives, well I am asking you to donate, not because of what I am doing, not because of who I dedicate this shave too – but for your own personal reasons, let me give you the opportunity to dedicate for someone special! 100% of the money raised will go to cancer research with the amazing people at Breast Cancer Network Australia, and my long locks will be going to Pantene’s Beautiful Length program, to make a real hair wig for someone affected by cancer.
