Making the Cut
Making the Cut
Story
On Saturday 6th July, 2013, I will be having my pony tail cut off and will be donating it to the charity Beautiful Lengths.
This charity works in association with Look Good, Feel Better , by donating real hair wigs for cancer patients. I have been growing my hair for two years in readiness to pass it on to someone who needs it more than me. Beautiful Lengths will turn my pony tail in to a wig..making it just right for the individual.
At the same time it is my hope that I can also raise funds for Monaro Commitee for Cancer Research (MCCR). This charity is located in the Snowy Mountains and has a bunch of wonderful, amazing volunteers who work together for our community to raise funds for Cancer Research as well as assisting local Cancer Fighters and services.
Please help me reach my target or if you are unable to give now, keep MCCR in mind if ever you would like to support a cause.
Thank you
Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated
The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
