Jane's Walk for a Cure
Story
Throughout my adult life I have set myself many goals however I think this one is my biggest yet. I have decided to walk from Albany to Perth to raise money for Cure Cancer Australia. For those of you that are not familiar with Western Australia, the distance from Albany to Perth is just under 500km.
I am aiming to conquer this goal over a two week period in October 2013, walking on average 35km a day with a goal to raise at least $50,000.
Unfortunately many of us have been touched in some way by cancer and by sponsoring me you will be investing in cancer research. $50 funds one hour of research, $1,900 funds one week, $8,300 funds one month and $100,000 funds one year of vital cancer research.
By supporting me on this journey it means should any member of your family be unlucky enough to be diagnosed with cancer, their treatment will be even more effective. You may even help to find a cure in our lifetime.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Erin O'Rourke has decided to jump on board the Jane's Walk for a Cure campaign! She will be joining Jane on the 474km trek from Albany to Perth!
Erin has had a number of family and friends affected by cancer, with some sadly losing their battle; one of these family members being her mother. Erin was 11 years old when her mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. 16 years old when it spread to her mothers bones. 19 years old when her mother lost her battle.
