Making the most of NOW....

Christmas Time: It's always filled with love, laughter and family.

Our Christmas just gone was one of amazement for me, because it was the first time I had seen Angus Dunn (as pictured). I had heard so much about him and his journey, as his mum and I are cousins. I had heard about his regular trips to hospital. I had heard about him having to have dialysis twice daily. I had heard that despite all the regular trips to hospital and intensive care, he always shared a cheery attitude. But seeing it in person brought a whole new perspective.

This little happy guy, is exactly the same age as my Angus. On Christmas Day, which I shared with Kerry's family, there was my little guy playing in the dirt, making a mess, and riding a scooter. And there was Angus Dunn who was as bright as a button, but had to be treated so carefully because for the majority of his life, he's had hirschsprungs disease.

Thankfully, Kerry, his mother, will be able to give him one of her kidneys when he is big enough.

It was an amazing experience to see this little guy and his amazing attitude and it's because of him that I've decided to run and raise money for this charity.

The Pichi Rich Run is on the 26th June and you can opt to do the 10.5km, 21km, or 42km marathon. I would love to have others join me for the 21km, of which I propose running 16km's with only a tiny 6 weeks preparation(!!) and walking the remainder.

What a better way to celebrate our health, our ability to make the most of NOW than to run and raise money for a worthy cause.
